This is our Easter service for 4th April 2021, Pete looks at the wonderful news to the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We are blessed to have Andy Hickford form Upton Vale Baptist Church preaching on Leviticus 25, he exhorts us to see our current times through the lens of the year of jubilee. Illustrating to us how God uses pattern disruption to change His people. He asks the question why would we go back to how it was when God can take us back to the future.
Steve Thieman brings us our first preach of 2021 and shares his heart and leads us into our prayer week. Prayer is where it happens
This Sunday we hear from Clare Walker from 'Home for Good'. Home for Good is a national charity we partner with to help raise awareness of the need for churches to play their part in supporting children who are adopted and/or fostered. We dedicate this Sunday to seeing more of God's heart for these children and consider how we can prayerfully be involved.
On our special gift day Sunday Pete looks at the Old Testament prophet Haggai and looks at how this scripture is relevant for us today.
We are joined this week by Duncan and Jo Lee who leads GodFirst Church in Christchurch which is part of the family of commission.
Duncan shows us that we should be able to encourage others while still feeling secure about our identity because of who we in Jesus.
This week Guy and Heather will be speaking to us. Guy leads the group of churches we are part of called Commission.
They share 4 points on break though in praying for healing and salvation looking at the passage of the paralytic man.
This week’s message is being given by Siviwe, a friend who leads a church in South Africa. We as a church have been connected with him for some time. He brings a word about Pentecost from the Old Testament right through to today.
We are joined by a special guest and good friend of Together Church Chris Kilby. He is going to be looking at how we can draw close to God even in the dark times by looking at Psalm 23 with us.
Pete asks us what our foundations are built on, he uses the parable of the wise and foolish builders to unpack this. Steve welcomes us to the morning, reads the scripture and prays for the service. If you want to skip to the preach, Pete starts at 11:24 into the video.
Pete continues are 'Joy Beyond' series as we look at how we can walk in peace through the power of prayer in this challenging time.
A Trellis of Prayer John 14 4-17
Guy Miller preached on how to build a trellis for our prayer life. He uses the example three meals in a day to take us through where we need to start to build our trellis. 5 R's for Breakfast, 5 P's for Lunch and 5 R's for Dinner.
