We are a church ‘Together on a mission to know Jesus more and make Jesus known’.
We are a people who centre everything we do around the good news of Jesus Christ. We treasure Jesus above everything else (Matt 22v37) and we treasure his written word the bible. We wholeheartedly believe the bible is relevant in every area of our lives today (2 Timothy 3v16-17). We also wholeheartedly believe in the Person and work of the Holy Spirit actively at work in our lives (John 14v26). We are a Word and Spirit church.
We are a people who want to have love for everyone, and particularly for those on the fringes of society and this desire leads to action. We have a deep conviction that we must demonstrate our faith through compassionate action. We believe there is a gospel mandate to reach into challenging areas of society. (Matt 22v39, James 2v26, Micah 6v8, Isaiah 1v17).
We are a people who prioritise building strong working relationships with community organisations, charities and other churches. As our name suggests, we want to work together with other organisations wherever possible for the good of individuals and our bay. We also want to work together with other churches, recognising that we are only a small part of the body of Christ in Torbay. (Luke 10v6, Romans 13).
We are a church that works hard to be united and are moving forward together. We believe in ‘togetherness’ wholeheartedly. We are a church on mission together. Doing Life Together. Loving one another (John 13v35, Ephesians 4v3-6). Unity within the Church was very important to Jesus, (look at his prayer in John 17!) and therefore it’s very important to us!
We are a church that actively wants to build strong local congregations that are distinct, with a style that reflects the makeup of that area.

When Pete is relaxing he loves all things active! He loves swimming in the sea, walking the coastal paths and kicking a ball around with his kids.

Commission together in seeing the kingdom advance through church planting, raising leaders, ministry with the poor and going to the nations. Commission runs events throughout the year to train leaders and build relationships amongst churches. A key event is Westpoint where thousands gather together to learn, love and go. Commission is growing both as more churches relate with Guy and his team, and as churches are planted. We are planning more events, church plants, training and mission opportunities.
